Kommentar
Svensk Kollektivtrafik, Sveriges Bussföretag och Tågföretagen har lanserat målet att 40 procent av de motoriserade resorna på land ska ske med kollektivtrafik senast år 2030.
Som landbaserade motoriserade resor räknas kollektivtrafik, bilresor, samt resor med MC och moped. Med kollektivtrafik menas resor med offentligt upphandlad kollektivtrafik, kommersiell buss- och tågtrafik samt taxi. Med andra ord räknas taxiresor inte som biltrafik utan som kollektivtrafik.
Denna indikator används för att beräkna index H6. Mer bakgrund till detta index och en kortfattad analys av utvecklingen ges under diagrammet som visar graden av måluppfyllelse.
För kommuner gäller siffran marknadsandelen för kollektivtrafiken i det län kommunen tillhör. Indikator B3C visar andelen resor med kollektivtrafik i en stor del av landets kommuner enligt lokala resvaneundersökningar.

Jämförbara data saknas för år 2016 eftersom Stockholms länstrafik (SL) inte deltog i Kollektivtrafikbarometern detta år.
Till och med år 2016 använde Svensk Kollektivtrafik telefonintervjuer för att inhämta underlag till beräkning av kollektivtrafikens marknadsandel enligt ovan. Från och med år 2017 har en mixad insamlingsmetod använts där de flesta respondenter besvarat frågorna på egen hand via en webbenkät. Denna förändring kan ha påverkat respondenternas sätt att svara.
Tendensen är att den nya metoden i något högre grad än tidigare fångar studerande, storstadsbor och vaneresenärer. I dessa grupper är kollektivtrafikens marknadsandel högre än i övriga grupper. Vi får alltså ett tidsseriebrott år 2017, då marknadsandelen förmodligen justerades upp något på grund av metodförändringen.
